Types of industrial cold storage in terms of temperature range

Serkhah with zero

Some materials lose their physical and chemical properties at temperatures below zero, so for their storage, attention is paid to the required temperature, and this category of contents will be stored in industrial cold storages above zero. Usually, the temperature range of industrial cold stores is above zero, between 1 and 15 degrees Celsius. Usually, these cold rooms are used to store products that are supposed to stay in the cold room for a shorter period of time. Especially in relation to food storage, it is better that many of them do not reach the freezing point, so they are stored in cold rooms above zero. Of course, cold rooms with special purposes to cool contents for a long time are also built and used.

Subzero industrial freezers are used to freeze the contents inside. The temperature range of these cold stores is defined between minus five and minus forty five degrees Celsius, but the usual average includes a more limited range. The subzero cold room will be used for long-term storage and has a higher cooling capacity. The main factor of this high cooling capacity is the compressor device inside it. The compressors of subzero cold stores do the compressor work in several stages, so the heat of this process is not so high. The compressor motor of this cold store has less power and although the fluid circulates in it at a higher speed, the compressor has less power. On the other hand, if the amount of heat produced by the refrigerator compressor is not controlled above zero, the heat produced will have a negative effect on cooling.

When an industrial cold room above zero and below zero is needed at the same time, a dual-cycle industrial cold room is used, which is a combination. This type of cold storage is used to store different materials and contents. In this way, the cold room is once emptied of contents and filled again with contents that require a different temperature. For this reason, before filling this double-circuit cold storage again, all its compartments and walls must be cleaned and disinfected from previous materials. Because it is possible that the temperature that is going to be chosen for the second time may spoil and rot the previous materials. This happens both to the detriment of the materials of the second stage and physically damages the inner building of the cold store and calls its health into question. The least hygienic thing is that the smell of the products of the first stage remains in the refrigerator and causes an unpleasant smell and affects the products of the second stage.
